ICC World Cup 2023 Schedule Released: Exciting Matches and Venues Announced!


The ICC has unveiled the schedule for the highly anticipated ICC World Cup 2023. The tournament will take place in India from October 5 to November 19, 2023. Ten teams will participate, including India, Australia, England, and Pakistan, among others. The remaining two teams will be determined through ongoing qualifiers in Zimbabwe.



The opening match will kick off on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah confirmed that the final will also be held at the same venue. The Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and the Eden Gardens in Kolkata will host the two semifinals.


A total of 10 venues will showcase the thrilling matches, including Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dharamsala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Kolkata. Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram, in addition to Hyderabad, will host warm-up matches from September 29 to October 3.


Here is a glimpse of India's tentative schedule for the ICC ODI World Cup:

- October 8: India vs Australia in Chennai

- October 11: India vs Afghanistan in Delhi

- October 15: India vs Pakistan in Ahmedabad

- October 19: India vs Bangladesh in Pune

- October 22: India vs New Zealand in Dharamsala

- October 29: India vs England in Lucknow

- November 2: India vs Qualifier in Mumbai

- November 5: India vs South Africa in Kolkata

- November 11: India vs Qualifier in Bengaluru
